RTR Terra Contracting Ltd is a full-service excavation contractor that provides a multitude of services of various sizes in and around Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Terra was formed over 10 years ago by a group of exceptional and knowledgeable construction and operation managers that have over 25 years of experience.

The Opportunity:



Terra's Bulk Foreman is dedicated to action, organization, and communication. He/she must work well with a diverse group of people, is reliable, professional, takes pride in their work, and is safety minded. Terra's Bulk Foreman has their driver's license and maintains a good driving record. The ideal foreman candidate MUST HAVE at least 2 years bulk excavation and shoring experience. Terra's Bulk Foreman works under the direct supervision of Terra's Bulk Superintendent.

A day in the life of the Bulk Foreman- roles and responsibilities:



Collecting Site Documentation such as trucking tickets, packing slips, etc. Working with project tracking software, HCSS to ensure progress and changes are all documented adequately. Leading from the front lines: directing and joining in the work to ensure quality and quantity is being met. Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications to provide clear instructions to the crew. Maintaining daily records including crew and equipment time, material receiving, productions and summary of activity on site. Providing training, safety orientations, and ensuring the development of the crew. Overseeing the safety and performance of crews on various and sometimes challenging projects. Planning to ensure materials and resources are in place ahead of the work. Always working in a safe and respectful manner on Terra and client job sites. Other duties and tasks as and when required by your superintendent.

Qualifications- what you bring to the organization:



You have previous 2 years experience as a Foreman. You have at least 2 years experience in bulk excavation & shoring. Safety- orientated, always adheres to safety. Class 5 Driver's License Required. Have a good driving record. Is committed to be a reliable, professional, and consistent team player. Safety Certifications such as first aid considered an asset. Ability to commute and work in various weather conditions. Ability to work 5 days a week, often times more than 8 hours a day. Ability to perform intense manual labour and lift up to 50lbs. Basic Computer skills required.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
