Maintaining and repairing fences, gates, and barriers around the yard.
Sweeping and removing debris, trash, and other materials from the yard.
Managing the disposal of waste, including hazardous materials like oil and chemicals.
Keeping loading docks, parking areas, and storage areas clean and organized.
Performing basic repairs on equipment and coordinating with mechanics for more complex issues.
Ensuring that tools and equipment are properly stored and in good working condition.
Installing and maintaining safety signage, barriers, and lighting.
Conducting regular safety checks, including fire safety and spill containment measures.
Clearing snow and ice from the yard, driveways, and walkways during winter months.
Applying salt or other de-icing materials to prevent slips and falls.
Operating snow removal equipment such as plows and snow blowers.
Managing the inventory of maintenance supplies, such as fuel, oil, and cleaning materials.
Ordering and restocking supplies as needed to ensure continuous operations.
Responding to emergencies such as spills, leaks, or equipment failures.
Coordinating with emergency services.
Reporting maintenance needs and safety concerns to supervisors.
Job Requirements:
Secondary school education is usually required.
