We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Operator to oversee the maintenance and operations of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, along with supervisory experience. This role requires a proactive approach to facilities maintenance, ensuring that all equipment and systems operate efficiently while providing excellent customer service to our tenants and staff.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff to ensure optimal performance of building operations.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders, inventory, and preventive maintenance schedules.
Troubleshoot and repair programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automated systems.
Perform welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications within the facility.
Maintain electrical systems, including troubleshooting wiring issues and ensuring proper functioning of lighting and power distribution.
Read and interpret schematics for various building systems to facilitate effective repairs and upgrades.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant concerns promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with management to develop maintenance plans that enhance facility performance and longevity.
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a facilities maintenance or manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform repairs on various equipment.
Proficiency in electrical systems, including troubleshooting capabilities.
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable.
Experience using CMMS for managing maintenance tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and tenants effectively.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving operational goals.
