DescriptionOur Surrey client is seeking a permanent Building Operator to join the team on a permanent basis.**Competitive salary in the $70,000-$80,000 range**We are seeking a skilled and reliable Building Operator to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of an office building in Surrey. The ideal candidate will ensure the building systems are running efficiently, perform routine inspections, and address maintenance issues promptly.Key Responsibilities

• Operations & Maintenance: Monitor and operate building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and scheduled maintenance to ensure optimal performance of all equipment.
• Repairs: Address and resolve minor repairs in a timely manner or coordinate with external contractors when needed.
• Energy Management: Identify and implement energy-saving measures to reduce operational costs.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure the building complies with all safety regulations and standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance schedules, and repairs.
• Tenant Support: Respond promptly to tenant service requests and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
• Emergency Response: Be available for after-hours emergencies and participate in emergency preparedness drills.

• 3+ years experience in facilities management or building operations
• Experience dealing with a large commercial office building will be highly regarded
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
