Our Surrey client is seeking a permanent Building Operator to join the team on a permanent basis.
**Competitive salary in the $70,000-$80,000 range**
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Building Operator to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of an office building in Surrey. The ideal candidate will ensure the building systems are running efficiently, perform routine inspections, and address maintenance issues promptly.
Key Responsibilities

• Operations & Maintenance: Monitor and operate building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and scheduled maintenance to ensure optimal performance of all equipment.
• Repairs: Address and resolve minor repairs in a timely manner or coordinate with external contractors when needed.
• Energy Management: Identify and implement energy-saving measures to reduce operational costs.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure the building complies with all safety regulations and standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance schedules, and repairs.
• Tenant Support: Respond promptly to tenant service requests and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
• Emergency Response: Be available for after-hours emergencies and participate in emergency preparedness drills.

• 3+ years experience in facilities management or building operations
• Experience dealing with a large commercial office building will be highly regarded
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
