We are currently recruiting for a

Building Operator - Multi Site to join our dynamic and innovative team. This position supports multiple sites in Calgary, Balzac, and Aldersyde, Alberta, with the primary location being Calgary, ensuring the building systems are operating safely, efficiently and reliably. Reporting to the Property Manager, this new role is responsible for the daily inspections, preventative maintenance and oversight and management of operational repairs for all HIG managed properties. You will perform a variety of general maintenance tasks, address tenant requests, and ensure that all properties meet safety and operational standards. The Building Operator works with vendors, monitors systems, and follows schedules for preventative maintenance to keep the buildings running smoothly. Strong organizational and communication skills are the key to your success to balance daily tasks, respond to emergencies, and maintain a positive environment for tenants.

As this is a growth-oriented position within our organization, we are looking for;

3-5 years of related experience in all areas of building operations, facility maintenance or mechanical systems.
Post secondary education as a 4th or 5th Class Power Engineering certification or training preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, access control and surveillance systems, fire alarm and sprinkler system and automation systems are an asset.
Mechanically inclined and possess a "handman" aptitude for minor building and system repairs.
Experience with Boilers, AHU's, RTU's and MUA's and related systems would be an asset.
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable personal vehicle (required).
Strong computer skills within the MS Office Suite.
Great problem-solving skills and a self-starting attitude to get things done.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.
Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and duties, while meeting daily deadlines, in a consistent manner.
Must be able to respond to after-hours, weekend and holiday alarms and emergencies.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
