Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of HVAC and Plumbing systems.
Preparing reports, cost estimates, detailed drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Providing support during tendering, contract administration and commissioning.
Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
Experience in business development and the preparation of proposals.
Responsible for mentoring other staff.
Working on internal technical development projects along with technical presentations to peers and clients.
Job Requirements:
What you will bring:
Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
Registered, or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with APEGA.
6+ years progressive experience in Mechanical Engineering within the consulting engineering environment.
Proficiency in building load analysis software.
Proficiency in AutoCad and/or Revit is an asset.
Experience with the assessment and design of building HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.
Experience with energy audits and energy modelling is an asset.
Ability to collaborate in a multidiscipline design team and communicate to achieve project objectives.
Ability to conduct site reviews to assess condition, determine progress, deficiencies, and enforce contract documents.
Ability to problem solve and demonstrate innovative thinking.
Committed team player and the ability to work independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
