Building Materials Buyer

A1 Imports is an importer and distributor of renowned consumer products in Canada and is opening a new division in construction materials to support its growth! Do you want to take on a new challenge in this field within a local company? A1 Imports has been in business for 18 years and its head office is located in the Bois-des-Filion industrial park.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Place orders with suppliers internationally
- Track orders in an international context (inspection, customs, transportation, lead times);
- Ensuring compliance with the safety, health and environment requirements of materials and services
- Calculate pricing structure;
- Update information in the ERP system;
- Negotiate prices and terms with some suppliers;
- Various management and administration tasks.

TRAINING AND SKILLS
- Bilingual English & French, written and spoken - mandatory
- DCS, ACS, DVS in Administration or Business Administration
- must have an understanding of construction building materials
- Minimum of 3 years experience in buying and /or imports / or transport management
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Good knowledge of other Office suite software and the Internet (Word, Outlook)
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to execute in a fast pace environment
- Multi-tasking, versatility, proactivity
- Teamwork

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Full time (5 days / week)
- Hours: 8:30 to 17:00, 40 hours / week
- Location: Bois-des-Filion Industrial Park
- Salary: according to experience
