Building Maintenance Coordinator (Onsite) - Full-Time Permanent Position

As a Building Maintenance Coordinator, you are responsible for maintaining and supporting Canon facilities to an ISO and Corporate standard. This involves, conducting minor facility repairs, sourcing and coordinating with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety systems and security contractors to ensure required maintenance is completed. Performing administrative work required to support an ISO 14001 EMS program and facility operations. This position supports local and Head office internal customer requests regarding facilities and events.
Although the standard hours of work are Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, you will be expected to work overtime, including on weekends, should the need arise.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing building and equipment maintenance daily to ensure all building\xe2\x80\x99s facilities are running smoothly.
Reviewing alarm systems, determining problems, conducting physical inspections and either completing minor repairs (air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, electrical power, lighting, water, and air supply) or coordinating 3rd party technicians
Completing daily facility inspections, and taking the necessary actions to mitigate any issues
Coordinating, scheduling, and overseeing contractors for any preventative and emergency facility maintenance work
Supporting corporate and business unit internal initiatives and handling our Audio-Visual systems set-up for events.
Maintaining inventory for office and janitorial supplies ensuring sufficient stock.
Processing, scheduling, and/or completing any light duty maintenance requests within the office
Overseeing and maintaining safe equipment operation within facility (Extinguishers, AEDs)
Assisting with ISO 14001 and Environmental Management System programs for the office
To Succeed, You Will Need:
Vocational or Technical Training in Building Environmental Systems Class 1 is preferred
Minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in building maintenance
Intermediate knowledge of building equipment is required and operation skills to use and loading dock equipment
Basic computer/technical skills are required to use email, MS Word, Excel, SharePoint
Strong time management/multi-tasking skills are required to complete basic tasks within reasonable timelines
Independence, and initiative to identify potential building issues
Strong communication and project planning skills
Be prepared to work overtime, come in early or leave late as required
