Job Description
Support needed for a male adult who lives in the Oshawa area.
Availability Needed:
4 hours in the later afternoon on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
Looking for a knowledgeable trained, experienced, and certified PSW who completes tasks with compassion, dignity, and respect. Patience is also a must. Should also be willing to learn and try new things together.
Duties include the following:
Tutoring (working on computer to teach new things) Sports Life Skills: teaching him how to handle money. Recreational activities (take him swimming at the local community Centre, walking for exercise, and other outdoor activities) Playing board games Meal Preparation Social skills development In the community - library, movie, personal interests
REQUIREMENTS
You are a gentle and matured individual
Experience with working with adults with Developmental Disability
Experience with Speech & Language
CPR/First Aid should be current
Personal Support Worker certificate/ equivalent experience working in home/community
Valid Driver's License and willing to use own vehicle for support
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
Work Location: In person
