Job Summary
Join a strong and established building electrical engineering team of more than 50 professionals based in Montreal. You will be joining the team led by Marie Pier Ste Croix Marquis, recently appointed Director of Electrical Engineering, who brings more than 15 years of experience at BPA and succeeds the former Director of Electrical Engineering in their transition to a pan Canadian Vice President, Electrical role.
This role is ideal for someone who has the experience and interest to share knowledge, grow and develop teams, advance technical expertise, and lead impactful projects of varying scale, including new construction, full project lifecycle delivery, and major mandates supported by BPA's in house experts.
Depending on interest and experience, the position offers opportunities in team leadership, people management, mentorship, or deep technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Design, coordinate, and oversee building electrical projects ranging from small, medium, large, to very large scale, depending on experience
Act as project manager and discipline lead from planning through delivery
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
Understand client needs and propose tailored solutions
Ensure follow up on schedules, budgets, and professional fees
Prepare specifications, technical reports, and service proposals
Participate in expertise and studies during the pre project phase
Support construction oversight and contribute to the continuous improvement of practices
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Member of the Ordre des ingenieurs du Quebec
Eight or more years of relevant experience in building electrical engineering
Experience in project coordination or management
Fluent in French and functional to advanced level in English
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Office 365 suite
