Luxury condominium building located in Halifax is recruiting for an experienced building cleaner

We are seeking an exceptional Building Cleaner to clean and maintain our building. The successful candidate will contribute to the quality and living experience of our residents with a positive attitude and pro-active approach.

The person we are seeking should have minimum of 5 years' experience with residential building cleaning, knowledge of cleaning products, good communication skills and an excellent work ethic.

This is a full-time position. The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm.

Responsibilities include:

Maintaining general cleanliness such as:

Elevators - polishing stainless steel, clean floors, vacuum mats Lobby -clean windows, dust ledges, baseboards, clean/polish floors and vacuum mats Corridors - vacuum and wash floors, dust baseboards, light fixtures, all ledges, clean mirrors, spot clean walls Stairwells - vacuum and was steps/landings and handrails Maintain other common areas (Common Room)
Additional cleaning and light maintenance duties as required

Complete special cleaning projects upon request

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

Strong people skills and positive attitude; with this position, you will encounter residents on a daily basis Detail oriented with ability to complete daily/monthly/weekly cleaning routines and procedures while identifying and addressing other areas as needed Self-motivated with ability to take direction; you will work closely with an on-site superintendent

Physical considerations:

Ability to successfully perform the necessary functions of this job including ability to bend, turn, reach high and low, push, pull, lift, stand walk and occasional lifting of no more than 15 pounds. Perform repetitive manual tasks on a daily basis
