Five Star Building Services is hiring a full-time Building Caretaker. The positions will be

Monday - Friday, 7-hour shifts.

The Building Caretaker position is a mix of Caretaking and Building Management responsibilities.

Your Job Scope:

Overseeing the building maintenance on a regular basis. Responding to inquiries and requests by building residents and resolving any problems or issues. Program and update fobs (remote access key). Coordinate and managing trades/contractors. Monitor building conditions and security (review security cameras as requested by property management). Perform daily building walkthroughs and report any deficiencies. Inspecting the building for any sign of damage or vandalism. Monitoring visitor parking. Coordinates move in/ out inspections. Changes and orders light bulbs as required. Produce and submit written incident reports.

Knowledge and skills:

The ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with resident, maintenance staff and contractors. The ability to resolve issue that may occur to maintain smooth building operations. The ability to coordinate and communicate tasks to contractors and Property Manager The ability to inspect the overall appearance and conditions of the building and detect deficiencies. The ability to maintain clean and pleasant living environment. The ability to manage list of responsibilities and set priorities. Able to lift 30 to 50 lbs., bend and reach to high/ low places as needed. Capable to push heavy waste bins.
