Position Summary:

Provide support to the Trade Channel by supporting, learning, and developing strategies to support MCL Trade category Home Builder Account business (Residential New Construction) across Canada. This internal support role will assist MCL sales in managing and servicing home builder accounts in key territories, with a focus on increasing channel presence, leveraging our portfolio of brands to grow RNC share.

The objective will be to work with Regional Sales Managers and MCL Sales Agencies to standardize builder spec presentation packages, manage builder proposal contracts, maintain records through updating and tracking our company\xe2\x80\x99s builder matrix and segment influencer contact list. The Incumbent will also be required to maintain an opportunity matrix / funnel for the Canadian market. This role will eventually evolve towards the incumbent developing new business / accounts externally, starting with the participation in builder association meetings, including, but not limited to OHBA (Ontario Home Builders), to increase relationships and market share of Masco\xe2\x80\x99s portfolio of products.

The incumbent will work very closely with Sales, Channel, Brand (Marketing) and Product Management, Quotes to ensure that the necessary needs of the marketplace are understood, internally and externally to overcome the barriers to entry and drive success.

For success in this position the candidate must understand the complex sales cycle and product lines involved in residential new construction sales. The candidate must maintain open lines of communication internally across a broad array of functional areas.

What will you do?

  • Coordinate and support the sales team with managing Residential New Construction Builder Sales Agreements
  • Coordinate, manage and execute all loyalty program incentives associated with Plumbing, Mechanical, and Builder programs \xe2\x80\x93 This will require collaboration with cross functional teams to ensure 100% on time execution.
  • Develop a high level of portfolio, product, and industry knowledge and expertise with a goal to to be sought out as an RNC Subject Matter Expert.
  • Prioritize and support ad hoc requests and troubleshooting.
  • Where necessary - Plan and coordinate meetings on a regular basis with key internal stakeholders in order to move agreements, program incentives along in effort to prevent delays and poor service.
  • Maintain contact with agencies to share regional trends, best practices and keep up to date on builder projects by maintaining activities using a matrix/funnel tracker.
  • Monitor publications, the internet, builder associations communications etc. to keep up to date and communicate new trends, new upcoming sites to MCL sales.
  • Support the onboarding of new team members and agencies as it relates to the Residential New Construction category with product and process training where necessary.
  • Support in the development, design, and improvement of build incentive programs to optimize MCL opportunity.
  • Support MCL Sales where necessary by assisting builders in their promotional activities with sponsorships and personal support.
  • Support sales with helping the marketing department to define requirements necessary to complete tools necessary for the Residential New Construction Segment
  • Support where necessary to organize and execute training of builder\xe2\x80\x99s sales associates on a continuous basis.
  • Maintain a database and keep track of builder display d\xc3\xa9cor centers, help in communicating where there may be a need for updated products and programs.
  • Assist / Develop and organize product presentation packages for key builders
  • Develop and complete builder proposal packages, builder letters for sign-off approval by the VP of Sales
  • Maintain a database of all builder profiles with competitive landscape and also capture lost opportunities for review and analysis
