Build Engineer (bootstrap)

Location: Kanata, ON
Hybrid. Must be in the Kanata Office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
Term: Permanent
High Tech Genesis is seeking a Build Engineer (Bootstrap) where you will work as part of a high performing development team and will be encouraged to contribute ideas and solutions as part of your daily work. This position will provide you with the unique opportunity to gain experience building and delivering complex software platforms.
Roles and responsibilities: * Part of the Polaris - Core Operating System Team which they are working on replacing with the next generation "Lux" Operating System
- Focus on solving problems within SE Linux
- 5+ years of overall large-scale software build experience
- 5+ years of C / C++
- 4+ years of Python
- 5+ years of Linux experience, including 2+ years of SE Linux (Security Enhanced Linux).
- 5+ years of experience with Makefiles and Yocto Build for Linux
- Strong analytical Skills
- Proven troubleshooting and debugging experience
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with real time programming (e.g. multithreading)
