Tottenham, Ontario

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual with retail experience and a strong knowledge of legal cannabis products and brands. At Hempire House, we aim to deliver more than just a transaction, we provide a welcoming, educational, and personalized customer experience. Our knowledgeable and approachable team takes pride in helping each customer find the right product to suit their needs.

Requirements & Experience

Minimum age:

19 years

Valid CannSell Certification (required)

Criminal background check (required)

Previous retail or customer service experience (preferred) Cannabis retail experience is an asset Cash handling and POS system experience is an asset Inventory management or stocking experience is an asset Experience opening and closing a retail store is an asset Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Schedule

4-8 hour shifts Day and evening shifts Monday to Friday, weekends, and holidays Store is open 7 days a week

Responsibilities

Welcome customers with a friendly and professional approach, offering personalized guidance based on individual preferences and needs Educate customers on cannabis strains, products, consumption methods, and expected effects Accurately operate the POS system for sales transactions and inventory tracking Perform cash-handling responsibilities with accuracy and accountability Maintain organized, visually appealing merchandise displays and ensure consistent product availability Recommend and upsell products to enhance the customer experience and drive sales Respond to customer inquiries in person and over the phone with clear and effective communication Maintain accurate records through filing and computer-based tasks Support inventory management, including restocking and product organization Ensure full compliance with all legal requirements related to cannabis sales and age verification Assist team leadership in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment
