We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Cannabis Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cannabis and a strong background in customer service and retail sales. As a Budtender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, educating them about our products, and ensuring a welcoming environment. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage time efficiently will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and provide them with personalized assistance in selecting cannabis products.
Educate customers on various strains, products, and consumption methods while addressing their questions and concerns.
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
Maintain an organized and visually appealing display of products through effective merchandising techniques.
Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending complementary items.
Ensure compliance with all state regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products.
Assist in inventory management, including filing, stocking, and heavy lifting as needed.
Collaborate with team members to create a positive shopping experience through excellent communication skills and teamwork.
Qualifications
Previous experience in retail sales or hospitality is highly preferred.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English; proficiency in French or other languages is a plus (bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply).
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel; basic computer operation skills are essential.
Ability to perform basic math calculations for transactions accurately.
Strong organizational skills and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Experience with cash handling procedures and maintaining accurate financial records.
A passion for cannabis culture and knowledge of various strains, products, and their effects is beneficial.
