Speedy Transport Group Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Broker's Payable administrator to join our team on a 1-year contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll services for our owner operators, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong analytical abilities, and a deep understanding of payroll processes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Process weekly payroll for company drivers across all terminals using the ADP system and Microsoft Excel
Manage and administer all driver-related deductions and reimbursements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Collaborate with the Driver Check-In department, Terminal Managers, and HR to ensure a smooth and compliant payroll process
Prepare and organize pay stub packages, including supporting documents, for distribution to drivers
Enter chargeback invoices and apply payments using Microsoft Dynamics GP
Maintain records and oversee issuance and activity of fuel cards provided to drivers
Perform ad hoc duties as required to support departmental operations
Qualifications & Skills:
1-2 years of relevant experience in payroll or administrative support preferred
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., formulas, sorting, filtering, pivot tables)
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or ADP Workforce Now is considered a strong asset
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment with high volumes and tight deadlines
High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Quick learner with the ability to understand and apply departmental policies, procedures, and systems
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Payroll, or a related field is an asset
