Liberty For Youth

is an impactful charitable organization dedicated to empowering youth in Hamilton, The County of Brant, Brantford, and surrounding areas. Founded in 2003, we provide an intensive mentoring program fueled by the generous support of donors, funders, volunteers and staff, and community partners.

Our mentoring model goes beyond short-term fixes, focusing on building inner character, developing essential life and leadership skills, and inspiring at-risk youth to become constructive and thriving members of our community. We achieve this through our four distinct programs: Prodigal Sonz, Character Development, Bright Choices, and LEAD.

The Opportunity: Program Facilitator for the Bright Choices Program



As a passionate and skilled Program Facilitator, you will play a vital role in the success of Liberty For Youth by directly engaging with male youth and bringing your expertise and experience to our programs.

Key Responsibilities:



Direct Program Delivery:

Coordinate and lead engaging activities, workshops, and lessons tailored to the needs and interests of male youth enrolled in Liberty For Youth's programs.

Safe and Reliable Transportation:

Provide safe transportation for youth to and from program locations, ensuring their consistent participation.

Mentoring and Engagement:

Actively participate in scheduled outings and activities with youth, including dedicated engagement with male youth, such as optional attendance at church services and worship nights.

Youth-Centred Communication:

?Connect with youth participants on a consistent weekly basis through meaningful one-on-one visits, phone calls, or video conferences to build rapport, maintain program involvement, and understand their evolving needs.

Effective Stakeholder Collaboration:

Communicate effectively and sensitively with youth to understand their needs and interests, while also maintaining clear and professional communication with all other involved individuals, including family members, probation officers, school principals, police officers, and correctional officers.

Advocacy and Awareness:

Remain acutely aware of the individual needs and priorities of the youth while skillfully managing communication and expectations with all stakeholders.

Confidentiality and Information Management:

?Ensure program information is readily accessible to appropriate individuals and concerned parties while upholding strict confidentiality protocols.

Impact Measurement and Reporting:

?Accurately record detailed information in Liberty For Youth's matrix tool regarding youth programs, costs, impact metrics, participant numbers, and equipment/facility utilization to contribute to comprehensive reports and demonstrate program effectiveness.

Continuous Improvement:

Provide regular updates and insights to the Executive Director regarding youth program successes, challenges, and opportunities for enhancement.

Compliance and Best Practices:

?Ensure that all programs and activities are implemented in full accordance with relevant legislation, organizational policies, procedures, and established best practices in youth development and mentorship.

What You Bring:



Education and Experience:?Minimum 2-year College Diploma in Youth Studies, Social Work, Child and Youth Care, or a related field. Safety and Security:?Must possess a Vulnerable Sector Police Check with no record of offences, charges, or sentences. Transportation:?

Must have a valid Class G Ontario Driver's Licence and a clean driving record insurable with LFY's insurance company.

Additional Assets:?Training in Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behaviour is a significant asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
