Overview

We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and be adept at restoring and renovating structures. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as the ability to operate heavy equipment and use various hand and power tools. The Brick Mason will play a crucial role in building, repairing, and maintaining brickwork for both residential and commercial projects.

Duties

Construct, repair, and restore walls, chimneys, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, or stone. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications. Utilize caulking techniques to seal joints and prevent water intrusion. Operate heavy equipment safely to assist in the transportation of materials. Employ hand tools such as trowels, chisels, and levels to ensure precision in work. Use power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials. Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience in masonry work with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Familiarity with caulking techniques for effective sealing of joints. Experience operating heavy equipment safely on job sites. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools related to masonry work. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods.
