Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Brick/Stone Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and be proficient in various techniques. This role involves building, and restoring structures using bricks, stones, and other materials. The Brick Mason will work closely with other team mates to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards.

Duties

Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications Prepare surfaces for masonry work Lay bricks, stones, and concrete blocks Joint own work when required Mix mortar when required Ability to use stone saw effectively Ability to restore mortar between bricks Apply caulking as necessary to seal joints and improve structural integrity Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects Be efficient while having good quality work Be a team player and treat others with respect Adhere to safety protocols

Skills

Proficiency in masonry techniques Experience with hand tools such as trowels, chisels, and levels. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation related to masonry work(current certificates or willingness to obtain) Competence in using power tools effectively Attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise during construction Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $32.00-$45.00 per hour
