Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic breakfast Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring guests have an enjoyable breakfast experience, from taking orders to delivering food and drinks promptly.

Duties

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service throughout their dining experience. Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system, specifically Micros POS, ensuring all details are captured correctly. Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Assist with food preparation as needed, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area. Manage time effectively to ensure that all guests receive prompt service while maintaining high-quality standards. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions to provide informed recommendations to guests. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests. Uphold sanitation standards by regularly cleaning tables, utensils, and work areas.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food service industry or restaurant setting is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is an advantage. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with guests and team members alike.
