We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team for our daily buffet breakfast. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a passion for excellence and the ability to manage time effectively. As a Server, you will be responsible to ensure buffet items are prepped and replenished efficiently for our guests through attentive service and knowledge of menu items. We are seeking a reliable team member who will be assigned two shifts on Saturdays and Sundays - weekend availability is mandatory - Depending on business needs, shift start on weekends is typically 7am, and shifts typically span 4 hours for our breakfast service.
Duties
Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Ensure buffet items are replenished efficiently, and prepared based on business levels, minimizing food wastage.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
Stay on top of inventory - advise supervisor of supplies needed.
Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction with their dining experience.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices.
Requirements
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques. Smart Serve certification is not required for the breakfast operation, however a food handler's certificate is mandatory (or must be obtained within 2 weeks of assuming the role).
Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of food service operations. Entry level hospitality/foodservice graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Excellent time management skills to clear and set multiple tables efficiently in a busy environment.
Strong customer service orientation with the ability to create positive guest interactions through warm greetings and engagement.
Self-starter, who can be entrusted to work and multi-task efficiently. -
