Job Description

We are currently seeking Breakfast Cooks to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years experience in a fast-paced kitchen, the ability to multitask, and familiarity with breakfast service. Our Breakfast Cook will be responsible for preparing and plating high quality meals in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

Work under pressure and with little supervision. Work quickly in a physical environment. Work experience in a full-service restaurant. Knowledge of menu items and how they are prepared. Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards. Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over prepare estimated needs. Date all food containers and rotate as per restaurant standards, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures. Check par levels for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up. Note any out of stock items or possible shortages. Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables. Operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill. Ensure rotation of stock and the storage of all food items in accordance with health & safety regulations and company policy. Assist as requested with the receiving/putting away of food items. Carry out opening and closing duties applicable to the position and be competent in the completion of all duties within the shift. Assist with kitchen cleaning duties as delegated to maintain the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen. Be competent in the safe and efficient use of equipment in line procedures. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. Perform any other job related duties as assigned

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
