Position Summary

This is a newly appointed Brand Management role on the expanding Big Whiskies portfolio. Reporting into the Senior Brand Manager of Big Whiskies, this Brand Manager will work on a diverse portfolio of North American Whisky brands that have big ambitions for disruptive growth, including

1. Skrewball, a newly acquired peanut-flavored whisky brand from the US, that has experienced exponential growth since its inception in 2018 thanks to it\xe2\x80\x99s unexpected mix of sweet & savory flavors and their unapologetic \xe2\x80\x98black sheep\xe2\x80\x99 proposition. The award-winning American brand has the endorsement of celebrities across the globe and is already considered a top innovation in the Canadian market since its launch in 2021.

2. Lot40, an award-winning leading Canadian Rye Whisky brand with long-stranding recognition and credibility in the bartending community, that has the potential for explosive growth across Canada.

This exciting role requires someone who can demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and drive thought leadership by identifying creative ways to build brand equity and scale brands from the ground up, while managing A&P to deliver profitability. This role requires some understanding of consumer and market insights, experience with commercial and financial reporting, collaboration cross functionally and with agency partners, project management and executional excellence. A passion for brand execution, innovation, marketing strategy and business development is critical to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Development of annual strategic plans to deliver continued growth, both in brand equity and commercial, by localizing global brand visions and developing local brand positionings where needed
  • Develop and implement communication campaigns delivering on the brands\' key equity challenges to recruit new consumers
  • Ensure media-to-shelf visibility, translating the communication platform to the shop floor as well as on-premise activations, all designed to recruit more households
  • Build a robust innovation pipeline through careful product introduction planning, working cross-functionally with the brand owner, sales, finance, and logistics to secure a commercially viable product and a solid route to market
  • Keep the portfolio top of mind internally and build quality and trusting relationships at all relevant levels of the organization, as well as across functions and regions, through strong interpersonal skills, integrity, influencing skills, and delivery
  • Analyze both commercial and brand health data to complete monthly business performance reports translating insights into action
  • Create and own the budget plan, ensuring resource allocation is in line with the strategy and maximizing impact, and take responsibility for the P&L, tracking and explaining both positive- and negative developments
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of marketing experience in the drinks industry or premium FMCG
  • A University degree in Marketing or a similar field
