The Opportunity

Tantalus Labs is looking for a Saskatchewan Brand Ambassador. They are responsible for prospecting cannabis retailers, including gathering market information, delivering education sessions, troubleshooting problems, and outreach to retail stores. Reporting to the Territory Manager, the Brand Ambassador must be comfortable visiting cannabis retailers in person, while maintaining an enthusiastic and detail oriented approach. Cannabis industry experience is preferred.

Candidates can expect 40 hours a week of work on a full-time permanent basis.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with Cannabis Retail Store Pipeline development

  • Visit, call or email target stores on a weekly basis as a brand ambassador
  • Manage a schedule of product knowledge sessions
  • Effectively manage a roster of cannabis retailers
  • Execute pop-up activations and promotions in store according to retailer needs.
Assist the Territory Manager with Day to Day Administrative Duties
  • Collate and deliver brand, product and market feedback to the Territory Manager
  • Record retailer interactions and action items in Hubspot, our CRM program
  • Coordinating and joining team and retailer calls.
Conduct Product Knowledge Education Sessions
  • Assist with booking and presenting brand level product knowledge sessions to stores, both virtually and in-store
  • Assist Territory Manager with remote store outreach from time to time.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role has a self-starting attitude and is able to connect and collaborate with a variety of groups, from family run retailers to larger chains.

Qualifications include:
  • Cannabis industry experience working for a retailer or licensed producer preferred
  • An outgoing attitude and ability to connect and work with a wide variety of individuals
  • A self-starting attitude to forge new connections and relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Cansell or SmartChoices Cannabis Sales Certification (or equivalent) is an asset
  • An outgoing and friendly demeanor is desirable
  • A working knowledge of medical and recreational cannabis and the cannabis industry in Canada
  • Must maintain a valid drivers license and use of a vehicle in good repair.
Working Conditions

This position requires occasional evening and weekend work, as well as regular travel, which necessitates access to the use of a vehicle and a valid driver's license.
