Otter Co-op is accepting applications for a Brand Ambassador position as we continue to grow our team, products and programs. This position will be a split between office and field work, supporting all locations within the Otter Co-op trading area including all corporate, agent and dealer sites.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Brand Ambassador will work with our team at all locations, to represent the brand/organization in a positive light, assist in increasing brand awareness, assist in growing sales and delivering exceptional guest service. The brand ambassador is meant to embody the corporate identity in appearance, demeanor, values and ethics.

The specific responsibilities of the Brand Ambassador include but are not limited to the following:

  • Strategizing, developing and implementing operational training guidelines and detailed walkthroughs for procedures and processes based on brand standards and values.
  • Reviewing sites and standards, standardizing guest service experience between locations.
  • Developing, implementing and facilitating branded training programs for all sites, business lines and all levels of team members.
  • Working collaboratively with key stakeholders to strategize and implement action plans, set goals and targets, and provide reportable outcomes.
  • Facilitating training for teams and managers regarding membership programs, guest experience and delivering guest service excellence, orientation, brand, suggestive selling, promotions (e.g.: building basket size), etc.
  • Providing training and branding support to the Company Owned Dealer Operated (CODO) sites.
  • Promoting all brands of Otter Co-op and Angry Otter
  • Spending time at site locations, working hand in hand with teams, assessing team to guest and team to team interactions, assessing standardization consistency, and offering suggestions for improvement or brand moments.
  • Liaising with teams and operations on programs, marketing ideas, and guest feedback.
  • Liaising with team leaders and encouraging on-the-job coaching (e.g., how to handle difficult client cases)
  • Translating and bringing our brand to life
  • Communicating effectively with team leaders and store teams, leading meetings, training, and coaching sessions while keeping teams well informed of pertinent information.
  • Training, mentoring, and developing team leaders/members to deliver guest service excellence and ensuring succession planning by identifying, developing and inspiring future leaders.
  • Demonstrating consistent ability to work with team leaders in the development, training and leadership of high-performance teams.
  • Conducting regular follow-ups and ensure mandatory training is completed by team leaders and store teams in regions supported; follow up on incomplete training and creating action plans as required.
  • Fostering a collaborative, supportive and engaging work environment.
  • Identifying and implementing new strategies proactively to ensure the future success of all regions and business lines.
  • Preparing data driven reports respective to individual site and division progress and other reports as required.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate execution of company standards, programs and initiatives in all regions and across all business lines.
  • Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail and:
  • Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Retail Store Operations in a leadership role
  • Must be detail orientated with superior organization skills
  • Able to work both independently and with a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external guests in a polite and engaging manner
  • Ability and availability to travel within Otter Co-op trading area
  • Computer proficiency and working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Motivation and ability to work in a busy work environment is required
  • Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
  • Able to perform physical job duties including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • A Valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License is required, as this position requires frequent travel to locations throughout BC as required. Travel may be for seminars, conferences, or competition checks as well as to assist locations as required.
