This position is responsible for managing the branch in its entirety -- ensuring operational excellence, safety, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The Branch Manager will oversee all day-to-day functions, drive financial performance, develop team capability, and uphold the company's core values of care, integrity, and teamwork.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership
Oversee and manage all branch operations including dispatch, scheduling, customer coordination, and storage facility management.
Ensure all moves are performed safely, efficiently, and with exceptional service quality.
Maintain a hands-on presence, including availability for
evening and weekend operational needs

Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise during daily operations to ensure consistent service delivery.
Financial Management
Monitor branch
financial success
, including revenue growth, cost control, and overall profitability.
Manage and report on the branch's
P&L (Profit and Loss)
to ensure sustained financial health.
Develop strategies to meet or exceed monthly and annual performance targets.
Drive
ancillary revenue growth
by increasing sales of moving supplies, storage, and junk removal services.
Safety & Compliance
Lead the branch in full compliance with the
Safety Management System (SMS)
and all regulatory requirements.
Provide visible and proactive health and safety leadership, ensuring all employees understand and follow safety protocols.
Foster a culture where safety is a core value in all aspects of operations.
You will be required to complete a National Safety Code (NSC) course for the Province of Manitoba
within the first period of employment.
People Leadership & Team Development
Recruit, coach, and develop an exceptional team of movers, drivers, and office staff.
Provide mentorship and growth opportunities to enhance skillsets and retention.
Build a high-performing team culture that values accountability, professionalism, and teamwork.
After six months of employment, an allowance will be provided to support the development of a
Mover Assistant/Relief Supervisor
, subject to approval.
Maintenance & Equipment
Ensure all vehicles and equipment comply with company maintenance standards and
National Safety Code
requirements.
Schedule preventative and annual maintenance as required and oversee documentation retention.
Customer Service
Interface directly with customers to ensure satisfaction from booking through completion.
Handle escalations, feedback, and ensure service recovery standards are met when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
3+ years of operations or branch management experience, ideally within transportation, logistics, or moving services.
Demonstrated experience managing
financial performance and P&L responsibility
.
Proven success in developing and leading teams to achieve operational and service excellence.
Strong understanding of transportation regulations, safety compliance, and SMS protocols.
Exceptional customer service, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Skilled in data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
