Job Description

Summary/Objective:

Leader for location of up to 20 employees. Direct all sales and operations activities for the branch location, ultimately responsible for the execution of sales strategy. Develop customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and sales growth through operational excellence. Responsible for employee selection, as well as development and retention of associates and adherence to company policies and procedures. This position requires operation of a company vehicle or a personal vehicle, and such operation is done up to 25% of the average work week. If selected for this position, the company will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.

Leadership



Participate in recruitment, selection, and development of your team Provide leadership and guidance to your entire team to drive growth within your branch's market position Engage in coaching conversations with employees to create a culture of feedback, support, and positive influence Mentor and impart knowledge to new employees to support their career development Act with honesty and integrity, maintain a strong sense of character and humbleness, lead by example, and exemplify our Code of Ethics and Conduct

Sales & Financial Acumen



Build new customer relationships, manage existing ones, and build loyalty within market Maintain active participation in local industry meetings and activities Work closely with suppliers to maximize sales and increase profitability Direct all Sales Representatives to new sales and margin opportunities Conduct regular sales meetings with team to discuss progress, challenges and sales targets Maintain knowledge of top clients/accounts service and sales needs to ensure loyalty Monitor local market trends developing and executing strategies to grow market share and aggressively pursue new business opportunities Accountable for the Profit and Loss statement to ensure branch sales goals are achieved Accountable for controllable expenses, ensuring Gross Profit goals are achieved Set yearly pricing structure for the sales representatives, adjusting regularly as needed Produce and submit monthly branch expense reports

Branch Operations



Ensure efficient operations through adherence to policies and procedures and process excellence, maintaining compliance with applicable government regulations Ensure work is conducted in compliance with Health and Safety Policies and legislation Maintain safety standards and legislative requirements for building, fleet, and equipment Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet service, financial, and operational support demands Safeguard company assets and employees Manage branch inventory levels utilizing regular tools and processes to minimize shrink Be a positive pro-active team player Lift, slide, carry and lower items that weigh up to 50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch and company success

Qualifications

(minimum):

3+ years of experience in Building Supply industry, or equivalent, with experience in sales 5+ years of leadership experience with demonstrated record of leadership & motivation skill Valid Full G Driver's License with consistent access to a personal vehicle High School diploma or general education degree (GED) Strong understanding of business acumen and technical competencies in preparing budgets, reading financial reports, and analyzing data Knowledge and experience in change management of operational procedures Ability to thrive in a performance-focused and results-oriented environment Experience with conflict-resolution and problem-solving in an environment with multiple stakeholders and balancing priorities Proven ability to provide day-to-day leadership by effectively delegating responsibilities and providing consistent follow-up Commitment towards ensuring a safe working environment for staff and customers Excellent organizational and time-management skills Proof of strong work ethic and determination to achieve success Highly engaged and active with a strong entrepreneurial spirit
