Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience operating press brake machines. This role is crucial in ensuring the precision and quality of metal fabrication processes. The Press Brake Operator will work closely with engineering and production teams to meet project specifications and deadlines.

Duties

Operate and set up press brake machines for bending metal components according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine job requirements. Utilize CNC programming for automated operations when necessary. Perform quality checks on finished products using basic math skills to ensure accuracy. Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs. Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and troubleshoot issues. Use hand tools and other machinery as needed, including cranes and forklifts for material handling. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar machining role. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various machinery including press brake machines. Familiarity with CNC operations, laser cutting, and welding techniques is preferred. Proficient in using hand tools and measuring instruments. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Ability to lift heavy materials and operate forklifts safely (certification preferred). Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
