We are currently recruiting for our client in the Elora area for a Brake Press Operator. This position has potential for permanent long-term employment. This position is not open for students at this time.This is a day shift where you will be working the hours of 7:30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.Rate of pay is $23-$26 per hour, based on experience. Candidates must have manufacturing experience. Wage will reflect experience.The Brake Press Operator performs a variety of duties such as:
Set up and operate an AMADA Press Brake for assembly operations
Precise measurement of parts and check products for correct dimensions and other specifications
Working within designated tolerances
Follow quality control procedures
Read specification sheets and follow verbal instructions
Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures
Check machine for defects to ensure machine is calibrated and cleaned
Set up and operate other equipment on the line, including but not limited to, the AMADA Punch Press for part fabrication
Carry out inventory and/or assembly tasks along the line as needed
Identify and work with Engineering to implement Design and/or Continuous Improvement opportunitiesExperience / Skills:
Metal Fabrication experience
Minimum 3- 5 years\' experience operating a CNC machine Brake Press (AMADA) or CNC Turret Punch Press
Ability to multi-task and effective communication skills
