The Bluewater Recycling Association, based in Huron Park near Exeter, has immediate openings for the position of
Garbage/Recycling
Driver.
Reporting to the Fleet Manager, as a Driver you will be a key player in the operation of one of the Association's waste and recycling vehicles.

Main Duties:
Operate designated vehicle on scheduled route, stopping to collect all Solid Waste and/or Recyclable Material placed out for collection using automated arm with joystick.
Deliver collected items to material recovery facility or to the landfill and dump compartments in designated areas.
Operate the scale and record gross, tare, and net weights upon every collection.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will:Have a clean CVOR and Drivers Abstract.
2 years of recent experience driving a DZ class vehicle full time.
Experience operating a joystick would be an asset.
Experience operating a side loader would be an asset.
Have an enjoyable personality with an ability to communicate with the public.
Working Hours:
Monday-Friday starting @6:00am. Daily hours vary from 8-12 hours. The successful candidate must have flexibility in their working hours as these change based on business need. We work all statutory holidays, except for Christmas Day and New Years Day.
Physical Demands:
Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Ascending and descending ladders.
Repeating motions that include the hands, wrists and fingers, particularly the left hand.
Remaining in a stationary, seated position for prolonged periods.
Exposure to noisy, hot and foul-smelling environments.
