Job Summary

River Run Centre is Guelph\xe2\x80\x99s premiere preforming arts centre, featuring three event spaces: Main Stage Theatre, Studio Theatre, and Canada Company Hall.

River Run Centre box office provides front-line customer service for ticket purchases and general inquiries through River Run Centre\xe2\x80\x99s box office and administration phone line, email address, and to in person visitors. Current business hours are Monday to Saturday from 12-4pm - or until intermission on show nights. Box office sellers and shift leaders work on site to provide in person as well as by phone and email.

Box Office Sellers work up to 20 hours per week during our regular season (September to June) with reduced hours during the summer. Applicants must be available for flexible working hours, which includes evenings, weekends and some holidays.

Your role

  • Provide excellent customer service in person, by phone, and by email;
  • Sell tickets and other items, and maintain customer database using TixHUB software;
  • Support patrons with buying tickets and other items online;
  • Welcome visitors to River Run Centre and monitor building entry outside of events;
  • Cash-handling, including balancing deposit at end of shift;
  • Work as part of a team to sell tickets, assist patrons, and solve issues on show shifts;
  • Answer general inquiries, assist with related administrative tasks, and perform other duties as assigned;
  • Open and close Box office.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 6 months experience in front-line customer service;
  • Excellent customer service skills with all community members, including listening and responding to customer problems or complaints;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with patrons, volunteers, and staff;
  • Sales and cash handling experience including balancing deposits;
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work independently;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Knowledge of ticketing software and previous ticketing experience are assets.

$16.60
