We are looking for a Part-Time Team Lead to join the Bowling Department at The Glencoe Club. In this role, you will assist the Bowling Supervisor and provide leadership to the team, helping develop processes and systems. You will also occasionally supervise the Youth League. As the Bowling Team Lead your responsibilities include ensuring exceptional member service through strong interpersonal skills, leading by example, and guiding staff to deliver prompt, efficient, and friendly service. As the face of the Bowling team, you'll greet members and guests during league play, social events, and open play, while gaining insight into the behind-the-scenes operations of our bowling program.

Responsibilities:

Deliver service excellence by creating a positive and engaging experience for all members and guests. Ensure clear, timely, and effective two-way communication between members, guests, staff, the kitchen team, and supervisors to support seamless operations. Address member concerns and complaints promptly and professionally, while ensuring proper communication and follow-up with the food and beverage team as part of the member feedback process. Assist with onboarding and training of new team members, as well as providing ongoing support and development for existing staff. Serve as the primary point of contact for member hosts during Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) held in the bowling area, ensuring all event needs are met. Lead and oversee league operations in the absence of the Bowling Supervisor, ensuring accurate scoring, smooth lane operations, and a well-run experience for participants. Actively participate in and help supervise the bowling attendant team in the proper cleaning, maintenance, and safe operation of all lane equipment.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in food and beverage service, including supervisory or team lead responsibilities Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate staff while upholding service standards and effectively resolving member and employee concerns Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional service Experience in bowling operations and/or coaching is a strong asset High ethical standards with a commitment to professionalism, honesty, and integrity Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a focus on accuracy and quality ProServe Certification required (or must be eligible to obtain upon hire)

Additional Details:

This is a Part Time position that report to the Bowling Supervisor. The successful candidate may be required to work a variety of shifts, primarily on weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), with occasional additional shifts as needed.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check including a vulnerable sector check, as well as ProServe Certification, Respect in the Workplace and Respect in Sport online certifications prior to commencing employment.
