Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. As a vital member of our team, you will work closely with dentists and other staff to promote oral health and educate patients on proper dental hygiene practices.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patient oral health. Utilize dental instruments and equipment to provide preventive care, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, nutrition, and the importance of regular dental visits. Schedule restorative visits when the patient requires. Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records in Dentrix software. Assist in the management of patient flow and ensure a welcoming environment for all patients. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional customer service and address any patient concerns.

Experience

A degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program is required. Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred, particularly with knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics. Familiarity with medical terminology and proficiency in using Dentrix software is a plus. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as effective communication with diverse patient populations is essential. Strong customer service skills are necessary to foster positive relationships with patients and enhance their overall experience.

The clinical schedule for this position will start as:

Monday: 8am - 4pm Wednesday - 10am - 6pm Thursday - 11am - 7pm Saturday - 8am - 4pm (no more than two per month)
There is potential to pick up additional days as the patient base grows

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $55.00-$61.00 per hour
