We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bottling Line Supervisor to join our production team and oversee the efficient, safe, and high-quality operation of our bottling lines.
Position Overview
The Bottling Line Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the bottling lines for wine, champagne, and spirits. This includes leading a production crew, ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong mechanical aptitude and proven experience in beverage production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise all aspects of bottling operations including setup, sanitation, filling, capping, labeling, and packaging.
Lead and coordinate the bottling line crew to meet daily production targets.
Ensure compliance with quality assurance, and health & safety standards GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), etc.
Conduct regular inspections of bottling equipment and work areas; coordinate maintenance and repair as required.
Schedule and assign work, train new employees, and monitor performance to ensure efficiency and consistency.
Maintain accurate production records and documentation for traceability and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with Quality Control, Maintenance, and Production Planning teams to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime.
Ensure compliance with AGCO regulations governing the production and packaging of alcohol products.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.
Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in beverage, and bottling operations.
Experience working with wine, champagne, or spirits is considered an asset.
Strong technical understanding of bottling line equipment, including pressurized filler tanks, fillers, corkers, cappers, and labeling machines.
Proven ability to adjust and reconfigure lines for varying bottle sizes and product types.
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills with a focus on accountability, efficiency, and results.
Working knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and health and safety regulations.
Strong mechanical aptitude and effective trouble shooting abilities.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically active production environment.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including overtime, based on production demands.
