Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious

Boom Truck Operator

to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a boom truck to load, transport, and unload materials and equipment to and from job sites across Ontario. This role requires strict adherence to safety protocols, provincial regulations, and equipment maintenance procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

Operate a boom truck (with mounted hydraulic crane) safely and efficiently to move materials and equipment.

Load, secure, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.

Perform daily inspections of the boom truck and crane components.

Ensure proper setup of outriggers/stabilizers and safe lift operation on varying terrain.

Maintain accurate delivery logs, inspection checklists, and daily reports.

Assist with rigging and signaling as needed.

Comply with all

Ontario Ministry of Labour

,

MTO

, and

company

safety standards.

Perform minor maintenance or report mechanical issues for servicing.

Support crew with additional site work as needed when not operating equipment. Communicate effectively with dispatch, site supervisors, and customers.

Requirements:

Valid

DZ license

(AZ an asset).

Valid

Boom Truck Operator Certification

under

Ontario Regulation 213/91

(Hoisting Engineer - Mobile 1 crane certification to operate a 40 Ton or equivalent).

Minimum 5

years of boom truck/crane operating experience

in construction or industrial settings.

Strong knowledge of

load charts, rigging techniques

, and

crane safety procedures.

Ability to read site plans and delivery instructions.

Good physical condition and comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Clear driving abstract and clean criminal record (may be required).

Working at Heights and WHMIS training an asset.

Work Environment

Travel to various job sites within Ontario Outdoor work in construction environments Physically demanding - lifting, climbing, and standing for long periods Use of PPE required at all time
