Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Boom Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport freight between locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all local, provincial, and federal transportation regulations. Perform basic maintenance on the vehicle as needed, including minor automotive repairs. Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary for loading or unloading.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving is essential; a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations. Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment is preferred. Basic knowledge of automotive repair is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively while on the road. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, dispatchers, and team members.
