Job Summary


This is a full-time on-site role for a qualified Bookkeeping Clerk, at the Cohen Buchan Edwards LLP, Richmond office. The qualified person will be responsible for the day to day needs of preparing cheques, processing payments, client billing review and posting, general data entry as needed and reception relief. The ideal candidate is self-directed and able to prioritize varied daily tasks. Duties include but are not limited to, preparing and verifying trust related transactions, data entry of disbursements and billing, follow up with outstanding accounts, backup for reception, and assisting with admin related duties as needed. Duties



Preparing trust related transactions Entering client bills and payments Entering disbursements and reconciling vendor statements Entering accounts payable Preparing deposits Preparing bank related transactions Reconciling disbursements with billings Follow up with clients as required Assisting with reception duties as required Assisting with admin duties as required

Experience



Proficiency using M365 office, outlook, teams, one note, word and excel Advance skills in excel not required but an asset General understanding of debits and credits and the ability to reconcile General understanding of GST and PST General understanding of trust accounting Excellent english communication skills, must be fluent in english Ability to work effectively in a team Attention to detail and organizational skills Understanding of priorities and the ability to meet deadlines ESI / Unity software experience an asset but not required Understanding of The Law Society of British Columbia, rules and procedures is an asset Experience working in a Law Office

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
