summer intern
to support our team. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain
hands-on experience in bookkeeping, loan administration, project coordination, and marketing
, all while being mentored by experienced professionals in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment.

What You'll Learn and Do:
Bookkeeping Support (Training Provided):
Assist with preparing deposits and recording transactions
Track and update NSF payments and collections
Maintain bookkeeping spreadsheets
Learn account reconciliation and reporting basics
Exposure to Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel
Office & Administrative Support:
Greet clients and answer phones in a professional manner
Schedule appointments and manage calendars
Organize paper and digital files
Support inventory and general office organization
Data entry and light editing of internal documents
Loan Administration Support:
Help process loan files and organize application documents
Maintain checklists and follow-up trackers
Assist in database updates and file audits
Marketing & Community Engagement:
Assist in creating and posting basic content to social media
Help plan and promote events, workshops, and community outreach
Contribute to marketing materials, flyers, or email campaigns
Distribute marketing flyers or brochures door-to-door
in local neighborhoods or business zones
Track where materials have been delivered and provide feedback
Project Assistance:
Support team-led projects (economic development, youth programs, training initiatives)
Research tasks and contribute to reporting documents
Take part in team planning sessions and assist in execution
Who We're Looking For:
Ages 15-30
(per summer student funding requirements)
Curious, dependable, and open to learning
Strong attention to detail and organization
Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); Canva or social media is a bonus
Friendly and professional communication skills
Interest in small business, finance, or marketing is a bonus!
Must be comfortable with light walking and outdoor marketing tasks
Working Conditions:
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Office-based in Lac La Biche
Hourly wage: $19.00
Supervision and training provided throughout the internship
