We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our financial data. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with leading accounting software and contribute to the financial health of our organization. Candidates should have a strong background in accounting principles and experience with various bookkeeping tasks. Prior experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks is highly preferred. This position is also responsible for managing the office, welcoming visitors and other tasks as assigned including receptionist duties.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations including data entry and record keeping
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and financial records
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
Maintain and update general ledger entries using accounting software such as QuickBooks
Assist with payroll processing and related reporting requirements
Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and revenues against forecasts
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Collaborate with auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
Skills
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation processes
Experience with bank reconciliation and account analysis techniques
Knowledge of payroll processing and related compliance requirements
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to analyze financial data accurately and efficiently
Strong communication skills for reporting findings clearly to management
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a relaxed environment
