We're currently seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Bookkeeper and Payroll Expert to support our growing team and ensure financial accuracy.

Position Overview

As a Bookkeeper and Payroll Expert, you will play a key role in managing financial transactions, preparing accurate reports, and supporting job costing and inventory controls. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and in depth payroll knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare invoices and enter payables

Prepare journal entries for month end

Support month-end and year-end closings, journal entries, and reconciliations

Manage accounts payable and receivable functions

Complete bi-weekly payroll function, including updating of new employees, existing employees, upkeeping current group benefit enrolments and deductions, as well as Defined Contribution Pension plan

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and insurance requirements

Collaborate with sales teams and operations to ensure accuracy in pricing and daily production reporting

Qualifications

Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Strong understanding of job costing, project accounting, and inventory management

Experience with accounting software such as Sage, or similar

Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills

CPA designation (or working toward) is an asset but not required
