Our client, a well-established, family-owned business located just outside the west perimeter of Winnipeg, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join their team.
This opportunity is ideal for a professional with a strong background in bookkeeping and office administration who thrives in a collaborative environment. While the primary focus will be on maintaining accurate financial records, the successful candidate will also oversee general office operations, contributing to the smooth and efficient running of day-to-day activities. If you bring a strong eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding internal service, this could be a great fit.
As the Bookkeeper/Office Manager, you will:

  • Responsible for accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Manage bank reconciliations and invoicing
  • Process payroll, review timesheets, and make appropriate adjustments
  • Complete WCB information and reports monthly
  • Generate financial reports and other reports, and data as required
  • Conduct orientation and onboarding of new employees
  • Maintain employee data relating to contact and employment information
  • Ensure that office duties and functions are carried out effectively
  • Perform general administrative tasks, responsible for day-to-day office management
  • Support on special projects ranging in time and complexity as required
You and Your Experience:
  • You have 2 to 3 years' experience in a bookkeeping role; Experience in QuickBooks is preferred
  • You have experience working at a professional level in business administration, finance, or administrative services
  • Bachelor's degree or a college diploma in business administration or a related administrative services field would be considered an asset
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You are highly organized with good time management skills
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and can work effectively with customers and people at all levels in the organization
  • You have a strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of accounting principles
