Job Description


Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure monthly reconciliation, financial statements are completed accurately and on time
  • Complete full accounting cycle monthly and at year end
  • Prepare and process full-cycle payroll accurately and on time on a bi-weekly basis
  • Ensure appropriate deductions for biweekly payroll
  • Process monthly payment of government remittances and group benefits
  • Find and use accounting data to resolve accounting problems and discrepancies
  • Update employee records information relating to payroll, processing new hires, terminations, compensation changes
  • Process ROEs as required
  • Complete year-end processing, including T4\'s, RL-1 & T2200
  • Provide support for accounts payable and receivable positions
  • Create client quotes and invoices
  • Handle accounts payable and receivables
  • Government remittances
  • Provide job costing and financial reporting
  • Reconcile all credit cards
  • Create expense reports
  • Prepare banking deposits
  • Scheduling
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
  • Completion of post-secondary program with a focus on accounting, bookkeeping or related field
  • Minimum 3yrs bookkeeping/accounting experience
  • High degree of numerical competency
  • Ability to create, read and analyze detailed numerical reports
  • Highly attentive to detail with strong clerical and organizational skill
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of an organization
  • MUST possess advanced knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks Online
