Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support our finance and office operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with Quickbooks & Payroll and bookkeeping processes, ensuring smooth daily administrative functions. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the efficiency of our financial management and administrative workflows.

Role Summary



The Bookkeeper is responsible for the day-to-day accounting and administrative financial tasks of the company. This role supports internal operations while working closely with external accountants to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities



Accounting & Recordkeeping

? Enter daily financial transactions into QuickBooks

? Maintain accurate and timely bank and credit card records

? Process accounts payable and accounts receivable

? Maintain organized digital accounting records and supporting documentation

? Assist with inventory tracking and transaction support

Reconciliations & Support



? Prepare preliminary monthly bank reconciliations

? Assist in identifying discrepancies and missing documentation

? Support month-end close activities under CPA guidance

Payroll Support



? Collect and submit payroll inputs (hours, changes, onboarding data)

? Liaise with external accountants regarding payroll processing

? Maintain payroll documentation and employee records

Compliance Support



? Assist with preparation of information required for GST/HST filings

? Support year-end financial and tax preparation activities

? Respond to information requests from external accountants

Qualifications & Skills



? Prior bookkeeping experience preferred

? Experience with QuickBooks Online or Desktop

? Strong attention to detail and organization

? Ability to follow established processes and controls

? Comfortable working with external accountants and advisors

? Discretion and professionalism when handling financial information

Applicants with cars will be preferred, as the role may require working at our many locations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

Work Location: In person
