Duties and Responsibilities:
The person filling the role of Bookkeeping & Assistant will be responsible to quickly learn and successfully perform the following duties:
Act as the first point of contact for by phone, email or in person if needed.
Greet and assist all visitors in the reception area.
Answer, screen and direct all incoming phone calls for the office
Take messages from callers and relay to the appropriate employees.
Accurate communicating any changes/concerns with clients
Set up New/Existing Clients to Database
Responsible for accounting/bookkeeping duties, including Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), HST and Tax Remittances
Maintaining and reconciling General Ledger (G/L) accounts with quickbook
Assisting with customer receivables and improving the financial health of the company
Responsible for A/P and cheque run when required
Monitoring monthly tax (GST/HST) notices
Processing month-end bank reconciliation
Other duties as assigned by the company owners.
Perform general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying and scanning.
Manage outgoing/incoming mail
Facilitate Social Media projects that continued growth of the company

Required experience:
Quickbooks: 1 year

High school diploma or GED, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
Strong knowledge of general office procedures
Able to write simple correspondence, including memos, letters, emails etc.
General mathematical skills.
Ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, and Word, : 1 year
Able to maintain filing systems and basic databases.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Meticulous records maintenance skills.
Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal
Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with Clients
Strong customer service orientation.
Social Media Skills: BONUS
