Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support our team in various administrative and accounting functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in accounting software and financial concepts, ensuring accurate record-keeping and efficient office operations. This role is essential for maintaining smooth workflows and providing excellent support to our staff and clients.

Duties



Manage daily administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, answering calls, and responding to emails. Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, or Xero. Perform bookkeeping duties including journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Assist with budget preparation and account analysis to support financial planning initiatives. Prepare financial reports in compliance with GAAP standards and assist with tax-related documentation as needed. Support governmental or non-profit accounting tasks as required by the organization. Utilize 10 key typing skills for data entry tasks and ensure timely completion of account reconciliations. Collaborate with team members on various projects while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

Skills



Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero) is essential. Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger reconciliation. Experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or non-profit accounting is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare comprehensive reports. Familiarity with budgeting processes and account reconciliation techniques. Technical accounting skills to navigate complex financial scenarios effectively.
