Fraser Valley Timber has an immediate opportunity for an ambitious Bookkeeper/Admin Assistant to provide support to our finance and office team in our Lake Cowichan operation.
Responsibilities in this role will include accounts payable, accounts receivable, including reconciliations. This individual will perform all AP/AR functions, remit payments to CRA, WorkSafeBC, and MOF. Preparation and entry of journal entries, as well as provide data analysis to senior team members for decision support.
This role will also be responsible for administrative duties for the day to day administrative duties within a forestry office.
Preference for candidates who have a background in safety as it relates to forestry at WorkSafeBC and BC Forest Safety Council and SAFE Companies.

About the day-to-day:
Entry and reconciliation of accounts receivable and accounts payable, including some invoicing
Reconciliation of production information
Payments to Receiver General, WorkSafeBC and other government agencies as well as
Administrative duties
Suppliers and contractors.
Processing and payment of expense accounts
Perform banking requirements and bank reconciliation
Ad hoc projects and reporting support
Various other tasks, as assigned Investigate and correct account discrepancies
Provide additional support as needed
