Duties



Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software Sage, ensuring accuracy in financial data entry and record keeping Perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation to maintain precise financial records aligned with GAAP standards Prepare journal entries, process accounts payable and receivable, and handle payroll functions efficiently Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly Support governmental and non-profit accounting requirements by ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards Assist with budgeting processes by compiling financial data, preparing reports, and supporting financial report writing efforts Maintain organized records of all financial transactions, supporting audit readiness and transparency Provide administrative support including managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, handling 10 key typing tasks, and maintaining office supplies

Experience



Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles within corporate or non-profit environments Strong proficiency with accounting software such as Sage; experience with GAAP is highly desirable Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles, journal entries, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation processes Familiarity with governmental accounting standards and tax experience is a plus Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately Experience in payroll processing and accounts payable/receivable management Excellent understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, financial reporting, budgeting, and technical accounting practices Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $18.63-$31.51 per hour
