Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of a growing manufacturing business. This role involves bookkeeping duties such as accounts payable & receivable, as well as helping the management team stay organized and efficient with data entry, filing, scheduling and general administrative support. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys creating order, being a supportive role in the office, and helping to keep things on track behind the scenes.

The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting software (Sage50/Simply Accounting), a good handle on financial processes, and a positive demeanor to keep things moving. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Duties



Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes. Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely payments. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar for various financial tasks. Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting activities as needed. Maintain organized filing systems for both physical and digital documents. Communicate effectively with team members and clients to address inquiries and provide information.

Skills



Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, bank reconciliation, and account reconciliation processes. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Ability to manage calendars, scheduling meetings, reminders and task deadlines. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
