Our company's focus is on CNC routers. Just as 3D printing acts as an additive manufacturing technology to build up unique parts, CNC routers act as a subtractive manufacturing technology to remove material from a blank to create a finished part.

Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling bookkeeping, general accounting with help for tax filings, interfacing with outside accounting firms as needed, payroll, AR/AP, and monthly finance reports (P&L, BS).

The role is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.



Responsibilities



Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes Maintain and organize financial records with accuracy and consistency Track and categorize income and expenses in QuickBooks Online Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and vendor payments Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial accounts regularly Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and review with accountants Payroll processing, employee reimbursements, and benefits administration Work with our external accounting firm for year-end closing and filings Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits Collaborate with Canadian and U.S. accountants for tax filings, compliance, and regulatory submissions Generate customized reports to assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Identify and help implement process improvements to strengthen internal financial controls Perform other finance-related duties as needed

Required experience



5-7 years of hands-on bookkeeping and general accounting experience, including structuring overall bookkeeping processes and modifying them as needed due to business changes and growth 2-3 years of experience managing payroll processes, including calculating standard provincial and federal deductions Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite Strong understanding of Canadian tax filing requirements and accounting principles Experience preparing financial reports and reconciliations Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills

Bonus experience



Understanding of US and Canada tax compliance Familiarity with credit card payment processors Experience with cross border banking and foreign exchange PCP Certification

Qualifications



CPB or other relevant certification
